Unchartered territory

It's been thirty long days... THIRTY days since the last time I bit or chewed off a finger nail....

That calls for a HUGE celebration, doesn't it?? It's been on my New Year resolutions list since God knows when... it's remained faithfully broken every single time I tried... and in net worth am sure it's costed me more than anything I've spent on hair so far!

But it's weird... it's unfamiliar... and it's quietly asking me to change a lot of things. Like typing for instance. As if the super fast 2-finger typing was not noisy enough now there is an extra clickety clack because the nails are touching the keypad before the fingers do... and no... I learnt after a very frustrating experience that the iPhone recognizes finger taps and not nail taps... grr..

And then there's the constant application and re-application of nail polish... the rationale is that with the color and smell of the paint you're less inclined to chew the head off.. the part nobody told you about is that it's hard to get used to the paint brush and the remover liquid smells repulsive... I ended up having to do each nail at least 4 times... worse with the left hand. And after all that effort you'll have to do it again in 2 days... I mean seriously!

One good thing that came out of it is I don't knead atta any more.. whew! I've always hated that gooey loopey stuff, and now there's no way am going near it!

Best time was with the manicurist... I've tried doing expensive nail treatments in a vain way to stop the chewing habit, so I know the names of the strange pokey instruments... but for the first time she asked me "square or round?" and I was lost.. talk about being speechless!!

I started this blog using a certain gmail id and now I want to link it to another one. Anyone know how to do that? Can't seem to find it on Blogger Help or Google...
